It's hard to say Goodbye !

I've never quite ever seen myself as a quitter.

But there are so many things at times the mind just doesn't want to get around to.

In any case, I haven't the slightest clue why I stopped blogging because in a way I felt therapeutic while doing it, on the other hand I always had this constant fear that I've got to be crazy careful with what I say as technically once something is up on the internet there isn't much room to .... ..well putting it politely .. get rid of it.

Guessing factoring in that I started working and that twitter, tumblr, facebook and instagram provided a much more straight forward tool to micro-blog, they kind of pushed me away from blogging too. Also, while I'm on the topic, the layout and ability to customize a page on blogger is ... well.. there isn't any polite way of saying it.. quite rubbish. However, before I start ranting, this is a free platform so I wasn't expecting a blogging editing heaven.

Alright bloggers, this was my rambling to tell you that I'm back and this is hopefully just going to be the beginning to a constructive 2014! ( Full of blogposts).

Take Care :)

M.I.A ( Missing.In.Action) ! Sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hi Guys !!

I'm so sorry for being M.I.A ! Lots of crazy things been going on, from final exams prep which kicked off in December to the final exams which were crazy stressful in January. Every time I wanted to blog something crazy would come up ( and when I say crazy I mean a project whose details would require the Hubble telescope from space to read its details )

Anyway, that's all done and now I'm officially an AUS Graduate of Fall 2012 ! It feels quite amazing, incredible to think that it took me four years of projects, assignments, teamwork and a whole lot of late-lighters to get where I am today.

For those of you wondering, I wasn't landed a contract upon graduation to start working at some place ridiculously awesome, but I assure you my time will come ! Right now, I'm working on a couple of side projects and experimenting with a few things :) ! * I assure you guys, that in the coming blogposts I'll tell you what they are*

As for now, I feel like YouTube is a platform I should get into, I feel like better able to express ourselves through the medium of VIDEOO !

Procrastination

Sometimes I just don't get it, why do I procrastinate! I know I have a super important mid term on Sunday yet I'm obsessing over the new black ops 2 just recently bought very cleverly by my little brother ...

I guess its human nature to work under pressure and cram stuff to the last minute, makes some victorious and some ... not so much ....

In any case my mind has been bouncing on the thought that I should start doing YouTube content instead,  not that blogging isn't cool but I'm not sure it let's an individual fully express themselves ....

..... hmmm until the exams don't leave till 22nd have baked blog posts might become all too a reality for me ...

Will end off, later blog friends :-)

P.S- everyone's got a favorite study snack, I love popcorn!  What's yours?

Midterm... Midterms EVERYWHERE !

Hey Hey Heyyy !

Eid Break was well deserved and welcomed by many over GCC ! I myself used the time to enjoy and catch up on several things amongst them visiting my favorite Mall " The Dubai Mall " ! They had this brilliant initiative for the Eid Weekend's of running 24hours straight with several stores and attractions running special offers enticing shoppers to pay a visit and enjoy all night long.

<---On my bucket list of things to accomplish, managed to strike out " Watching Sun Rise from a mall "

*Thank you Niggi for pic, my wonderful BB couldn't last through the night*

In any case, but what was most pressing of an issue were the --> midterms <-- after the break. Allow me to explain my bizarre schedule:

( 2nd Week before Eid Break = 2 midterms)
( 1week left to Eid break  =2 midterms)
(Eid Break )
( 1st week back = 2 Midterms )
( 2nd Week back after break = 2 Midterms) ....

I believe my university is MAD and have failed to understand the definition of a " MID " in a " TERM " we can't really be having so many "MID's" but of course this ranting of mine is clearly debatable and my audience of sympathy I'm sure is limited to students and not my professors.

To all students struggling along, persevere and keep moving forward <--( haha thats from a animated movie, know which one ?)

Until later ... stay awesome and Peace Out :)

1) Simone Heng ( Host for the show) ---> The daytime 10-1 pm weekdays star on Virgin Radio ! In-case you live under a rock Virgin Radio ( 104.4) is probably one of the most popular stations to grace UAE's airwaves. With a mix of  Eurasian Singapore from Mothers side and  Chinese from fathers, this lady's got great style with her jokes and content, I'd love to throw in a few spoilers of what to expect but no one wants Simone's tiger mom set out after them ( haha much love to mama Simone). Red Rose Event :)

Hey guys !

I got to take part with a brilliant event spreading "Peace" at Marina Walk Dubai yesterday called "  Rose Event Dubai " ... conveniently spelling " RED"

Now that I look back, I wish could have been more involved with the prep-work that went into it ! But in any case, a brief idea about the event, it's centered around promoting peace through sayings and quotes placed on Roses and given out to people of course for free :)

The event was scheduled to run from 7pm to 9pm and me being the genius I considered myself with direction  I ended up on JBR "The Walk" at 7pm where I spent 45 minutes trying to find parking and then walking half the walk to realize that one of the landmarks given out to all the volunteers for gathering " Marriot " hotel was no where to be found. Only after speaking to several people did dawn on me there's actually another " The Walk " but this one's called Marina Walk !

So I spent another hour and reached Marina Walk by 8: 30 and spent another good 20 minutes looking for parking spot, finally meeting with all the volunteers at 9pm.

In any case, I've got amazing friends that still greeted me as if I'd been there from the start * Ahmad, Fahmi, Nabtititttt, Ya'all are awesome *

Was nice to hear feedback from the volunteers and people that had received roses on the experience plus with it being the second day of Eid, it just added more and more to the festive flare

Got to share a good hearty dinner, and I still did my part, had 7 roses they left for me, and I made sure I gave them out towards the end :)

< --- (Roses being given out to everyone, Tourists  Employees of restaurants and more )

 <--(Badges for Volunteers )

<-- (A few of the awesome volunteers & Empty Baskets after fun few hours of distributing)

<-- (The Next Morning , a few key volunteers got invited over to MBC in media city for a chat about the event)

Peace Out :)

EID <3 & Brand of the week
<---(Picture from EID celebration at my University)

I'm going to be starting a new segment if you will, about brands that I thought deserve a mention for whatever reason (usually cause their adding to the awesomeness to the offline/online community) but before I start talking about this weeks brand, got to talk about the topic on most people's minds " EID "

Eid means a number of things, for everyone own points of view. For some it means the time that family gets together and share in festivities  for others it means the benefit of an extended break ( sorry non GCC countries, can't touch this or rather us on the number of holidays we get), and honestly many will tell you and I would agree more with this: it's the sharing of positivity and greetings with everyone you meet, doesn't matter if their Muslim or not, it's sharing a smile, a greeting and maybe even a hug !

Quick things to know about this EID, it's not the one that comes after Ramadan which is referred to as Eid ul Fitr, this one is celebrated after Hajj and is called Eid ul Adha :) *and this Eid deals with a lot more cooking of all things meat ! We're talking  Steaks, Ribs, Stew's, Soups and more*

In any case, just thought I'd throw that out there !

Now to get to the Brand of the Week :D
--> RakBank ! or as their called on twitter ( @RakbankLive) or facebook -> www.facebook.com/rakbank

Just so you know, there isn't any hidden agenda, just talking about them cause I feel they've been great on twitter ! The only bank that's super friendly and quick to reply to concerns, comments and queries online! That's not to say their competitors aren't doing but hey numbers don't lie right? Check out the followers/ and search of "rakbank" on twitter to see what I mean :)

Also they've been giving away a whole Heep of things on twitter and facebook ! Seriously, check them out :)
